Another year means another End User Event (EUE). While I personally haven't been fortunate enough to attend one of the EUE's yet, I hear it's absolutely great. IMHO it seems to be quickly growing into one of the best annual CG events and as such if you can attend, I'd highly recommend it. For more info, here's the official website.
3ds Max is celebrating it's 20th birthday! One area that's been interesting to read is the 3D Studio 20th anniversary Facebook Group. So those of you on Facebook may want to drop by that group and learn about the history of 3ds Max...often told by those that were there and/or actually created/coded it!
I also wanted to mention a new book has hit the shelves: Mastering mental ray: Rendering Techniques for 3D and CAD Professionals by Jennifer O'Connor. You can also find out more info about the book on Jennifer's site. I have no doubt that mental ray users will find her publication very helpful.
Finally, don't forget to drop by 3DA and participate in the current Charrette/Themed Challenge (#16)...some very nice prizes up for grabs.
